Deception
Hidden in the open, you nod with invitation like
a troll-eyed menace, beneath the tidal ocean.
Sideways stepping and constant guessing—
mystical revulsion in a balancing reflection.

The photo is as mysterious as the poem. There is also a rhythm to the poem that I like. I read it aloud a couple of times and could feel and hear the rhythm of the words.

No I love the mystery because it allows the reader to interpret freely.
Love it when I can’t tell the vantage point of a photograph. This could be an aerial, or a study when you first look at it.
